Following the reorganisation of the site menu - based on camera line - I have moved Service and Repairs information to the camera lines sub-menu’s. It will be quicker to go there right-away next time. For users of the TLR’s the list is basically unchanged. The URI is also still the same. The Rollei 35 and the SL 66 have dedicated lists of repairmen who have indicated they work on those camera lines. For users of the Rollei 35 and the SL 66 is easier to find a suitable repair shop now.
Hardly any repairman positively indicates he works on the 4×4 cm TLR, the ‘Baby-Rolleiflex’. Some indicate they don’t. In most cases we can only hope that ‘all twin lens reflex models’ include the ‘Babies’. There is no point in a separate list for this camera. It is combined with its big brother. There is no other option than contacting the repair shops. I fear that parts are the main issue.
The situation with respect to camera’s of the System 6000 is bleak. There were never many who worked on (the electronics of) SLX and 6000 models. Now it is even worse. In this case also parts seem to be the problem. In some cases replacing the camera looks like a better option than repair. Possibly cheaper and you have parts for future repairs as a bonus.
I am still working on the System 6000 service and repair page. It won’t be long.
